A Tour

The other day I got a private tour of the KLRC studios.  They're one of Downtown's newest businesses.
Martin was broadcasting the Saturday morning shift.
What a beautiful studio!  Here's where they keep up with the weather and upcoming songs.
When this light flashes, it's live radio straight from Downtown!
Thanks for the tour, KLRC!

Oliver the Toad

Books on Broadway hosted a book signing for local author Dawn Denton on Saturday, September 24th.
Dawn was there to read her books.
We also took a few minutes to have her sign a few books for upcoming gifts.  (Hint, hint...Christmas is coming!  And Downtown is the perfect place to find a special something!)
Oliver the Toad is an adorable book--the second book in a series of five about guests in our gardens.
Dawn even brought along her toad house to inspire us to make our gardens more toad-friendly.
Stay tuned!  Dawn's up and coming book (about a ladybug) will be out soon. I'm pretty sure Books on Broadway will invite Dawn to have another signing.

More Orange

Here are more pictures of what Fall looks like Downtown.
Why, you ask? Well, because Autumn is my favorite season!

A scarecrow in the window at Siloam Springs Printing
Halloween books at Books on Broadway
A cute decoration at Siloam Flowers and Gifts
Fall paper at Creative Corner on Broadway
A cheery wreath at II Gals Junk
Soup is back at Fratelli's Wood-Fired Pizzeria

Weekend Plans

This weekend I'm planning to participate in the Titus Task Fun Run and 5K. More info on the event (which is happening right here in our very own Downtown) can be found here
But before I "run" the Fun Run with my family, I'm going to have a little breakfast at the Cafe on Broadway.
It's the perfect place to fuel up before (or after) the race.

Homecoming Parade

On Friday we headed Downtown to watch the Siloam Springs High School's Homecoming Parade.
We especially enjoyed the flags.
The band was wonderful--as always!  Did you know they're headed to the Rose Parade this upcoming New Year's Day?  Yes, they're that good!
The girls' dresses were quite pretty, but these two little ones stole the show in their fun Bug!
This year's homecoming parade was a success!

Little Shop of Horrors

Did you miss the show?
Me, too.
Fortunately it's showing again next weekend.
Plan to attend Little Shop of Horrors.
It's showing at the Sager Creek Arts Center.
I'll see you Downtown!
